Southside Johnny’s second Mercury album continues the band’s blend of high powered rock, blues and subtle jazz overtones. Johnny’s gravelly lead vocal keeps the action moving at a steady upbeat pace with the guitar and horn work maintaining feverent pace. With each of the group’s albums, there is a noticeable maturity in the playing, lyrics and overall sense of where the group is going.

Best cuts: “Why,” “Love When It’s Strong,” “Restless Heart,” “Goodbye Love,” “Love Is A Sacrifice.”
